Sailing along the coast |
The archipelago
of La Maddalena is the most complex in the
Mediterranean. It is comprised of seven islands and
a set of islets, which even with unfavorable weather
conditions allow for a beautiful day to be spent on
the sea in a splendid corner of paradise. It is in
these waters that sailors traversing the Straits of
Bonafacio have always found a safe harbor. Known for
the transparency of its waters, and the beauty of
its deep bays formed by granite and fine white sand,
this territory also has an important role with
respect to the presence of many animal and plant
species of considerable interest. Birds like the
Shag bird, the Stern Seagull, and
the Cory’s Shearwater accompany us from
above, while dolphins swim along our bow
during our voyage. The transparency of these waters
shows the varied colors of many species of fish, and
from a few meters one can admire the thousand colors
of sea fans whose fronds caress these waters |
|
The boat is a
DC9 fly measuring approximately ten meters.
It has a large sundeck at the bow and a smaller one
on the fly. The stern has a spacious dinette with an
awning creating the perfect shade for lunch. There
is a swimming platform and ladder, shower, and a
stereo. The boat is equipped with two 210hp engines. |
We have picked
our routes with the breathtaking beauty and
emotional impact in mind. We visit the most
important beaches and inlets of the Archipelago,
including Spargi, Budelli, Santa Maria, Razzoli and
Caprera. We have also added a third Archipelago
Course with a stop at the Lavezzi Island and Piana,
including a visit to the town of Bonifacio, and its
famous caves.
